University Staff shared governance literally had to tear down the walls at the Varsity Hall in Union South to make room for everyone who gathered to celebrate Chinese New Year! Vice Chancellor Heller welcomed the crowd with a poem by Wang Anshi. Shuwen Li, a Training Officer Confidential with Cultural and Linguistic Services told those in attendance more about the significance of the New Year to the Chinese people. Jane Zhang from the School of Business drew loud applause with her rendition of a Chinese favorite song – ‘Hair like Snow’.
