University staff is well known as the ones who do much of the heavy lifting here on campus, both literally and figuratively. University staff is also sought after for talents beyond their immediate job description. Such as in the case of UW-Madison’s Marching Band Administrative Coordinator Wendy Margolis, who was tapped to be the featured speaker at the 2015 Marching Band Donor Tailgate Dinner.
Wendy spoke about all the things music, the career and vision of Band Director Mike Leckrone, and the importance of not sweating the small stuff. Wendy was recently elected to the University Staff Congress as well as L&S Climate Committee, she has stated her goal to advocate peaceful, positive work environment within UW-Madison.
