A lot of people view the summer as a time to visit the community pool, catch up with a good book, or picnic in the park. Members of the UW-Madison Classified Staff however see the summer as another time when they can pitch in to assist the community. Accountant-Journey Sandra Fowler provides a perfect example of this. Sandra will be spending her 1st of August as one of the key organizers of “The Wagon Drive” (see photo), an annual summer event in which neighborhood kids collect food, cleaning and school supply items for the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Food Pantry, Franklin and Randal Schools, the Transition Education Program, and The Road Home. With members of the Classified Staff leading the way, we’re sure the event is going to be a success.
