Self-Help

The UW-Madison University Staff worker has many opportunities to improve their condition by accessing low-cost and no-cost resources here on campus. In order to educate the staff in this regard, the University Staff Communications Committee organized the ‘Resources Town Hall’, and invited speakers to engage with staff regarding the UW-Wellness initiatives, the Fully Prepared to Lead program, and the Employee Assistance Office. Staff members also heard more about shared governance and the planned launch of language phone lines which Cultural and Linguistic Services will use to provide important news summaries to English Language Learners. University Staff members filled the rooms of both the day and night sessions of this event, asking many questions and getting new information.
